Hello!

I'm still here, and I'm missing posting while I'm dealing with some technology issues. :-( My pictures won't load all of a sudden, and most of the things I like to post about center around pictures! So I guess it's going to be a bit quiet on the blogs until I can get things sorted out (I'm trying, but nothing has worked so far.).

Anyway, just wanted to say hi!

January Listening: Top Three

'Tis the season for Resolutions. There's just something about a clean slate that makes even flexible me want to re-assess and set goals. To be honest, I don't do resolutions. But I do make goals and like to take stock of things, and I thought I'd share a few helpful messages related to what I've been doing to kick off this New Year.

First is an audio Series on Priorities tailored for women. I really enjoyed this one and have revisited it several times! It's on the longer side, but simply excellent!

A tool I used last year (that worked so well I'm using it again!) is the Personal Vitality Plan. I think there's a link here to a customizable version, but I like writing things out by hand.

Last is an Interview (with a friend of mine, actually) that really inspired me to get serious about reading God's word every single day.

I've had a very consistent quiet time for many years now - in my late teens I got convicted about the fact that I'd journeled every single day for three years, but hadn't spent time with Jesus every day, and that started a big change. Now, I don't want to miss a day. It's not going to get me to heaven or earn me anything, I just do it because I love God and want to love Him more.  After all, I talk to my Husband every day - that doesn't mean I'm a steller wife - but it does help our marriage.

(For the record I did miss 2 days since starting last year. I probably missed a few days of talking to my Hubby too, come to think of it. You know, when he's out of town and phone reception is bad.)

And if I have a word for the year, it seems to be "Deeper". Happy New Year all!
